20-20 Technologies Inc. begon in 1980 als een Canadese kabinet  producent welke een software startup werd. Jean Mignault, oprichter en CEO, bracht zijn geesteskind, 20-20 Design, naar ontwerpers en overtuigde hen om pen en papier in te ruilen voor zijn ontwerp software. Met een visie voor verbeterde efficiëntie en eenvoud voor de keuken en bad industrie, bracht hij een revolutie teweeg hoe heden ten dagen ontwerpers werken.
 
In 1986 werd een van de eerste versies van 20-20 Technologies innovatieve vlaggenschip product, 20-20 Design, door een leidende accociatie uitgeroepen als industrie standaard. Sinds dat moment heeft het bedrijf zijn software ontwikkeling uitgebreid en hun business en producten uitgebreid over de hele wereld. De afgelopen decennia is 20-20 Technologies doorgebroken in Europa, Azië en Latijns Amerika, gevolgd door het oprichten van vestigingen in deze gebieden.
 
De afgelopen jaren zijn gefocust op het doen van een aantal strategische acquisities. Deze afgeronde acquisities heeft het bedrijf in staat gesteld om de leidende verschaffer van computer-aided design and verkoop software voor de commerciële en residentiële interieur markt te worden. De succesvolle integratie van deze bedrijven in een (1) organisatie heeft 20-20 Technologies' kracht verstevigd om een end-to-end oplossing te bieden voor de interieur ontwerp industrie.

• 2006
  Virtual Systems International (VSI), Raleigh, NC, develops, sells and integrates manufacturing software for a number of medium to large manufacturers in North America’s woodworking industry.  Its state of the art InSight application, and ABC CAM and ABC Nest solutions, have been implemented by major kitchen cabinet, office furniture and institutional casegoods providers and component suppliers throughout North America.
   
• 2005
  MBI Software Company, Germany, focuses on developing, marketing and implementing software solutions tailored to the needs of the furniture manufacturing industry.  Its products include ERP solutions, supplemented by applications such as workflow management and business intelligence.  MBI has offices in Osnabrück, Germany; Vienna, Austria and Toronto, Canada.
  
  DataOne Inc., Indianapolis, IN, develops, services, and sells layout, specification, and catalog creation software for contract furniture dealers, manufacturers, and facility managers of office furniture and case goods. 
   
  SmartFusion Software from eTechlogix Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Improvenet, offers complete multi-platform e-commerce product configuration geared for the millwork industry
   
  MindAvenue Inc., Montreal, makers of the first complete solution for the creation and delivery of fully interactive 3D animation over the Web.  It will allow users to perform interior design projects through their own Web browser over the internet.
   
  CMS Informatique, Cannes, France, provides engineering, production and sales tool software solutions for woodworking shops specializing in custom cabinets and casework, windows and doors, clostes and storage spaces and staircases.
   
  BuildRite Software, acquired from Stiles Machinery Inc., will be renamed and rebranded as 20-20 BuildRite. Both companies will continue to market 20-20 BuildRite as part of their joint end-to-end solutions for the woodworking industry.
